Lange 1815 & IWC Mark XII Introduction I have been collecting watches since 1997. Since then I have bought and sold more than 20 watches, only keeping those I really like. In the process, I learned to appreciate watches- not just the aesthetics but the movement within, the fit, the finish, the comfort. My early purchases were mostly "impulse" purchases, I bought a watch because it looked good at that point in time. But the watch was sold soon after because it was too big for my wrist, too uncomfortable or just didn't hold my attention long enough.

I am more of a lurker at TZ and I must admit that most of my purchases were influenced by the forum. I believe the Internet is influencing watch collecting in a BIG way- never before can so many collectors from different countries converge and share their joys of collecting in one place. The forum can be quite addictive though. I'm a Network Engineer by profession, currently working in Singapore. For those who are familiar with South East Asia, I was born in Kuala Lumpur & lived in Port Dickson for a number of years. And for the past 10 years or so I have been in Singapore.
